Allow me to share a few thoughts about the Jaguars as they prepare to host the unbeaten Steelers.
- *Good for Doug Marrone letting his emotions pour out after last week’s loss at Green Bay. I can’t imagine what its like to loses eight straight games. Letting it out with a few profanities was okay. Getting it off his chest may make him be a better coach. Don’t apologize word for the nasty words. They’re easy to bleep out.
- I do believe in moral victories. Playing well as a big underdog — which the Jaguars did at Green Bay — shows improvement. Get better every day” is an NFL motto. If you’re not buying the moral victory angle, think of it this way: they haven’t been an NFL punching bags for the last two weeks.
- When Gardner Minshew is completely healthy and prepared, I want him back under center instead of Jake Luton. Minshew is more creative and athletic. He can get the Jaguars out of bad plays and move the chains. Luton has a stronger arm, that’s it.
- I’m still puzzled why GM David Caldwell has a job.
