Jaguars coach Doug Marrone isn’t allowed to give specific details about players on the Reserve/Covid-19 list.
However, he did give fans some idea of how quarterback Gardner Minshew is doing.
The teamed placed Minshew on the Reserve/ COVID-19 list on Sunday. However, a player doesn’t have to test positive for the virus to be placed on the list. Players who come in close contact with someone who is positive are also included on the list.
Marrone was asked during his Monday virtual press conference how Minshew’s spirits were holding up.
“His spirits are good,” Marrone said. “I think he’ll be available soon.”
Minshew threw for 3,271 yards with 21 touchdowns and six interceptions last season as a rookie. He was 6-6 as a starter.
The Jaguars will not start practice until Aug. 12. The first game is home against Indianapolis on Sept. 13.
